          Delight into  this zoo’s almost 400 species of wildlife. The Sacramento Zoo is home to a diverse collection of animals, including the snow leopard, red panda, eagles and reptiles. In addition to the animals, the zoo has lakes, gardens, an educational amphitheater, and a train. Within our 14.5 acres there are over 600 animals comprised of over 140 different species at the Zoo. We specialize in rare and endangered animals from Reptiles to Mammals, Birds to Amphibians and more. You can find: photos, animal facts sheets and details about all your favorite creatures at the Zoo. For a memorable fieldtrip, bring your class to the Sacramento Zoo. Discover which animals take over the night shift and see what happens when they have the Zoo all to themselves! Grab your tent and sleeping bags and bring your family or group to spend the night at the Zoo. We offer fun and educational classes throughout the year.
