An easy walk from the beautiful Gulf Shores beach, this lovely 25-acre park offers visitors close-up views of macaws, bears, monkeys, lions, tigers, and more. This special place gained notoriety on “Animal Planet” as “The Little Zoo That Could” because it has survived five major hurricanes in less than ten years. The viewing areas are divided into several sections that are easy to walk, including a bird sanctuary, the reptile quarters, and a petting menagerie. Animal shows delight audiences during the summer. Seasonal encounters with tigers, kangaroos, and reptiles always provide great fun, especially in the Lemur Playhouse. Children 5-11 years can enjoy Zoo Camp during June, a daily week-long experience with animals, arts and crafts, and zookeepers. Check the schedules on the park’s home page, and make reservations for special events early. Zoo hours are 9 am-4 pm year-round; it is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

We offer 4 different types of memberships which entitle guests to unlimited visits to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo for an entire year.

Individual: $65.00 - Entitles the member unlimited visits to the zoo for one full year!

Family: $180.00 - 2 parents plus all children 18 and younger living at home

Grandparents: $162 - 2 grandparents plus all grandchildren 18 and younger

Additional Person: $30.00 - Adds one person of any age to any pass
