Monterey Bay Aquarium, Savings and Zoo Park Description for 2024

Experience the majestic life of the oceans as you head down to one of the Nation’s top family attraction.  Located at the ocean's edge, is a crowd-pleasing favorite that most visitors enjoy. It focuses on the rich underwater life of the Monterey Bay that's just outside its back door. It's home to sea otters, penguins, sharks, jellies and thousands of other marine animals and plants. Its mission is to inspire conservation of the oceans. A three-story, 335,000-gallon tank with clear acrylic walls offers stunning views of leopard sharks, sardines, anchovies, and other creatures swimming through a towering kelp forest with Outer Bay tank that houses open-ocean life, including yellowfin tuna, large green sea turtles, barracuda, sharks, giant ocean sunfish, and schools of bonito. The Giant Octopus exhibit is also amazing. Splash Zone runs daily programs and displays of black-footed penguins, invertebrates, and other inhabitants of coral reefs and the cooler waters of Northern California.
