          Pleasant, clean, laid out well and of course an amazing zoo with up close animal encounters. Brevard Zoo is home to more than 650 animals, representing 165 species. Feed gentle giraffe and lorikeets, go kayaking or take a paddle boat ride and ride the train. It’s divided into four distinct areas. Latin America, Native Florida and Australia feature the flora and fauna of those regions. View jaguars, anteaters, alligators and other animals. The Paws-On Activity Center provides interactive entertainment geared toward children, including a petting zoo.Get wet in Paws On, enjoy daily animal encounters and be sure to experience our rhino encounters. The zoo houses more than 550 animals, including giraffes, white rhinos, red kangaroos, cheetahs, alligators, siamang gibbons, giant anteaters, jaguars, wallabies, crocodiles, howler monkeys, bald eagles, red wolves, and river otters or enjoy a 10-minute train tour of the grounds.
