Scovill Zoo, Savings and Zoo Park Description for 2023

The Scovill Zoo currently holds 96 species of animals that span across 6 different continents and about 500 animals. It actually first opened its doors to the public back in 1967 when it was first named Scovill Farm. Back then, it just held different farm animals such as pigs, goats, chickens, and more. It then later became one of the 210 accredited zoos of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

In 2007, the zoo made a local chapter with the American Association of Zookeepers or AAZK to increase education. Currently, the zoo holds events and programs as well as a zoo package called the On Safari Party Package that includes admission and train passes for guests as well as gift for the birthday kid and  the use of the outdoor deck.
