The Segwick County Zoo is an accredited wildlife center of the AZA. It was started in 1971 by the Segwick County Zoological Society. It includes 2,500 animals from over 500 different species. It now ranks as the number one tourist attraction in Kansas since it started increasing the amount of visitors it has. Those wanting to visit this zoo can see their daily schedule on their website so they won’t miss anything while on their trip. It also has a calendar of events and group events as well as the ability to rent the zoo for birthday parties and weddings.
