Alexandria Zoological Park, Savings and Zoo Park Description for 2024


The Alexandria Zoological Park opened its doors in 1926 and currently sits on 33 acres. It is owned by the city but is operated by the Division of Public Works. This zoo is an accredited zoo of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and also takes part in 20 different species survival plans.

This zoo has many different animals including mammals, amphibians, reptiles, fish, birds, and invertebrates. You can also find educational resources as well as group events and private events at this zoo. The private events include the ability to rent the zoo for birthday parties, weddings and more.
