Potter Park Zoo, Savings and Zoo Park Description for 2024


The Potter Park Zoo sits on 102 acres and opened its doors in 1915. Although the zoo is owned by the city of Lansing, it is operated by Ingham County. This zoo participates in the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. This zoo is home to over 160 different species of animals. The zoo holds different programs including summer camps, tours of the zoo, distance learning, and much more. It also provides many different events such as private events and public events. Not only can you adopt an animal to help support the zoo but the zoo also provides a way for visitors to donate as well as volunteer.
