The Lincoln Children’s Zoo was formerly known as Folsom Children’s Zoo and Botanical Gardens between the years of 1979 and 2006. This zoo is privately funded and currently sits on 10 acres of land. It is actually the most visited Children’s Zoo per acre in the country. This zoo is an accredited zoo with the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and has a mission to increase experience first-hand between people and other living things.

The zoo holds many different events such as a calendar of events and even a garden party. It also has many different educational programs including summer camps, adventure camps, and more.
