Trevor Zoo is a 6-acre zoo located inside Millbrook School in Millbrook, New York. It is the only zoo in the country located inside a school. It was first established in 1936 by Frank Trevor, a biology teacher in Millbrook School. The zoo houses about 180 exotic animals from 80 different species, including 7 endangered. It is one of 216 zoos in the U.S. accredited by the AZA (Associations of Zoos and Aquariums). The zoo also operates a veterinary clinic that ensures the animals’ health and safety.
