North Carolina Zoo is an animal sanctuary located in Asheboro, North Carolina. It has an area of 1,371 acres and is home to more than 1,600 animals representing 225 species. The sanctuary is divided into three areas: the African Field, Aviary Field and the North America Field. Each area showcases different animal habitats.

They offer live animal encounters and feeding. They also have several facilities the kids will enjoy. This includes the 4-D theater, carousel, playground and the giraffe deck.
